Ashley Judd takes on Sarah Palin and the brutal slaughter of wolves

Sarah Palin, as thuggish as ever, thinks that the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, which opposes the aerial slaughter of wolves, is an "extreme fringe group."
That's right, this enthusiastic killer of animals thinks you're extreme and on the fringe if you don't think wolves should be shot to death from low-flying planes. She defends the killing as necessary given that wolves would otherwise "decimate moose and caribou populations." (They're predators, don't you know.) But the killing is simply indefensible -- it's a massacre, and she wants more of it.

I think IF the wolves are being killed to prevent an over-population of wolves or under-population of a species that they normally hunt it is a humane act. Balance is a good thing. The DNR does this type of thing with the deer population all the time--tho' not from helicopters. Wildlife management sometimes demands tough choices. You have to consider all of the animals' well-being.

Why don't you just ask the wolves to stop killing moose and caribou?

The people of Alaska have voted AGAINST THIS PRACTICE two times! Twice the jugdes, and powers that be....Palin...have ignored the voice of the people. The people Palin is claiming she is helping!
There is plenty of paperwork on BOTH SIDES, but ALASKANS feel the method is cruel and it may be countreproductive.
DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE certainly isnt a crazy fringe group, they have been a watchdog for foul practices for years. Hunters belong to DEFENDERS, HUNTERS who have ball and actually hunt. They would never shoot an animal from a plane and have it bleed to death for hours in agony and panic.
DEFENDERS isnt SAYING dont cull them, they are saying CHANGE THE METHOD, hunt from the ground because the rich kids shooting from the plane can´t shoot from that distance in a moving vehicle.
AND Palin offering money for the PAWS? Paging Cruella DeVille.
How like Palin to change HER REASON....MONEY:::: back on DEFENDERS, yeah, that´s Rich, THRILL KILL SARAH!
