  • It annoys me that just about all the "news" coverage of Hillary Clinton makes me feel like defending her. Since I'm not much of a fan of the Clintons, I take this to mean that the coverage is really bad. And the "scandal" coverage reminds me of presidential coverage as we expect it: the media determines a narrative early on and then do everything they can to push that narrative. That ain't news. But have you heard?! Al Gore is a liar!

  • Should Hillary Clinton win the presidency, I will consider that a good thing. Full stop. If, before we get there, she is a lightning rod for a fulsome discussion of what is bad about the relationship of wealth, privilege, and power to politics, I'm okay with that too. That the other guys are worse has never been an argument that slows be down.
